Colin Clary/James Kochalka Split EP!!
Hey Dave, can you use any of this for my profile on yr. site? Please tell folks that I am nice.
Tell them that I run Sudden Shame Records and am also in a band called "The Magic Is Gone" who have a record coming out soon and that I have another new record out besides the "Rock -n- Roll Haikus" which is called "Sometimes the Nice Boy Wins" under the name "The Part-Time Losers" which is on the North Of January label. If people ask why I don't put out Colin Clary records on Sudden Shame, just tell them that I don't run a vanity label and I am too busy trying to put out other kids' records to focus on me, etc...
Tell them also that my other record, titled "The Only Boy in Town" will be finished when Jeff and Chris get back from the Essex Green tour and can complete the mixing of it. Jeff doesn't want me to be "the part-time losers," because he thinks a better name is "The Lone Tree." I don't know about that. My mom is still nervous that I did a cover of "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want" because she doesn't want Morrissey to sue me, but it sounds so good with Sasha on flute and me and Chris Norborg on vocals and Jeff on classical guitar, etc that it will have to be on the album. Oh well. I am a bad name-dropper sometimes.
Did you tell kids that I roadied for Chisel? or that my old bands were Madelines, The Four Color Manual, and Brian, Colin & Vince, or that I name drop a lot of cool people in my songs?
